Level 2

Level 3

Process-level automation

AI is embedded into workflows: triage, routing, compliance screening, contract review assistance, HR screening support. KPIs appear: cycle time, FCR, error rate, cost-to-serve.

Level 4

Data and platform enablement

Shared data foundation with quality rules, catalog, access controls, APIs. Reusable components (enterprise search/RAG, monitoring). MLOps/LLMOps begins: versioning, evaluation, drift, audit trails.

Level 5

Decision intelligence

AI supports decisions at scale with oversight: forecasting, risk scoring, pricing guidance, optimization, fraud detection, preventive maintenance. Strong governance: model risk, bias tests, explainability, approval gates.

Level 6

Operating model transformation

Roles, processes, and structure redesigned around AI. Copilots become standard. New roles emerge. Performance and budgeting evolve. AI becomes a core production capability.

Level 7

AI-native organization

Products and operations are designed to learn continuously using data. Built-in experimentation and personalization. Advantage comes from faster learning loops, not isolated projects.
